We are well known for our innovative approach to value addition to the world’s most wasteful crop through a process of extraction of natural fibers from vegetative sources and production of eco-friendly textile and handicraft products with high commercial value.
Our high-end value is based on extraction of banana fibers from waste banana pseudostems, and production of environmentally friendly value-added products. TEXFAD works with smallholder banana farmers who supply banana stems to the company. The farmers appreciate the new value of the would-be waste banana stems and are now able to enjoy increased incomes from their banana produce.
